Willing helpers required for Repainting Play Equipment in the recreation area! Volunteers required

Four Questions and Answers:
Q. What Is Hope 08? A. Hope 08 is a national event bringing together all Christian denominations to work locally for the practical benefit of our community and to make following Jesus more visible and accessible to those outside the church.
Q. What is Hope on the Streets? A. Hope 08 is raising 1 million hours of kindness throughout the UK to serve the most needy. In Southam our practical team will be gardening, decorating, driving, visiting with a special task of re-painting the play equipment in the park, quite apart from the usual work the Church and parishioners do. Good old fashioned community spirit, looking out for and caring for our neighbours. As Jesus said “love your neighbour” why not give us an hour of your time and join us at St James Church at 9 am on any of our Hope in the streets weekends and give helping hand? You might also like to join us at our family service any Sunday at 10 am.
Q. What is Celebr8 – Fun in the Sun? A. Remember Party in the Park? Well this year it’s Fun in the Sun. This is a family orientated party in the recreation ground in Southam. There will be a Fair Ground children’s activities such as hair braiding and face painting, entertainers on stage, a hog roast, ice creams. Bring a picnic, have loads of FUN. Put it in your diary now.
Q. Why is Hope 08 organising Celebr8? A. This is the combined churches of Southam bringing the community together and having fun together in the spirit of friendship. This is a good Christian ideal just saying here we are, see what we do.

Repainting Play Equipment in the recreation area! Volunteers required – please contact Richard Hewitt or Gary White to let us know of your availability. Painting to take place from 14th. – 21st. June. The first work-party will assembly at 9am on Saturday 14th. June at the play equipment. in the Recreation Ground.

Healing Service & Blessing of the Well Sun. 22nd June 3pm. Dedicating the newly renovated ‘Holy Well’. Replaces the 10am and 6.30pm services

12^th July Celebr8 – Fun in the Sun

Sponsorship for Celebr8
“Celebr8”, our free ‘Fun in the Sun’ day in the park is supported by Vision 4 Southam but we need additional funding for entertainers, sound systems, toilets, marquee hire etc etc. We are looking for private and commercial sponsors to be Bronze, Silver or Gold sponsors donating £25, £50,£100or£150respectively in return for appropriate access and acknowledgements. We are looking for helpers for Celeb8. If you can spare an hour or so on the 12^th July please contact Richard Hewitt or Jan Ford 813373. The Volunteer Centre is desperate for drivers to take people to medical appointments. If you have a car and could spare a few hours please consider this. There is no need to make any time commitment just be prepared to go on the list. If you can say you would most likely be free on a particular morning, afternoon or day so much the better.
