John & Mary Home
John and Mary Home are involved in the international aid charity, Bees Abroad, which runs grassroots projects in poor communities. These projects bring the many benefits of bees and beekeeping to the local communities, who benefit from natural products such as honey and wax, as well as wider benefits including increased pollination and crop yield through the bees and income generation through selling bee products.
St James Church is proud to support John and Mary in their ministry, one which they are perfectly prepared for, having run their own highly successful honey business until their retirement a few years ago.

We are delighted that David Njuguna the Beekeeping trainer who has been
helping with the Nelbem project has enabled the community to move the
beekeeping project to a stage where they are now marketing their hive
projects in the local shops to bring in valuable income for the families .
David has moved on
to work for another beekeeping organisation SITE-ENTERPRISE PROMOTION. This
is managed by Harun Baiya whom we have got to know during our visits to
Kenya. He has agreed that the Wings of Mercy project can come under the
umbrella of SITE so David can help them move forward with their beekeeping.
He is going during the second week of August to do need analysis assessment
and possibly come up with Community Action Plan for next few months.
This is an exciting
development and we will be able to use the money Stephen Adams raised from
the sponsored shaving of his beard in January together with a donation from
Leamington & Warwick Beekeepers Association to fund the needs for the
project for the lovely rural people at Machakos

busy preparing some visits from two couples who are coming to Kenya from UK,
this month on separate dates, one will actually stay with us for a week,
they will have the opportunity to visit the schools and help with the
feeding program.
Christine has successfully completed part one of her MBA course.
We praise and thank God for the opportunity to help make a difference to
these needy people in Kenya and also thank the congregation at St James and
St Michael & All Angels for their continued prayers and support .
